Praveer u tubelight ! donated means u have pledged to donate, not that they r removed while u r living!!...thats what i call techies loosing on logic by going only in verbal meaning & exactness of words :-D
Thank You anonymous for that valuable piece of common sense. I was really thinking if it is a minor operation after which you can get back to work sans your eyes.

My target was the expression and NOT the intention of the forward. See is used the word "donate" in place of "registration" and call it "pledge" which to me is highly inappropriate. In fact this entire thing is ridiculous.
After this trivial looking registration the onus is on YOU and your family to inform them that somebody who "pledged" has died, please come and collect his eyes !
Tell me one thing, is there any sane reason WHY I should "pledge" there and why now ?
I can express my desire to donate my eyes to people close to me who I think would be there whenever I die.
There is no dearth of eye banks if you go to any good hospital.
Suppose I die at the age of 60 in Timbuktu, will SANKARA NETRALAYA come there to collect my eyes ?
OR is it that they will keep sending me R U ALIVE mails whereever I go ?
To me, ONLINE PROMOTION IS FINE BUT NOT ONLINE DONATION !
Thats gud, u now made it clear about what you didn't like in those fwds....u hav to be to the point & specific...I like it..now its ur way finally but actual point came thru comments...till now it was weird like someone making statements just after getting pissed off after reading without giving proper reasons that why somone shud not send such fwds.....!! Maintain that reasoning when u type posts...not that u have to verify later what u meant this or that when someone questions ur logic & reasoning in comments... ;-)
